an artist-run, open-concept studio shaped by community and collaboration.

modular studios holds space for creation, experience, and activation so artists can imagine, build, and collaborate.

we embrace the idea that negative space is a distinct, yet inseparable part of creation, allowing room for infinite potential, connecting art to an everchanging, fluid, and continuous dialogue. negative space isn’t empty. it's active. a subject in itself, that serves as a frame, guiding the eye and emphasizing the work. for us, the word modular parallels community: interchangeable, individual pieces that function alone, but that together form a greater whole.

it was this principle that led us to create mod studios in the first place. we were four artists from different mediums that were connected through shared lived experiences. we accomplished a lot for ourselves as individuals. but by coming together, we made our work stronger in ways we couldn’t have alone. through this process, we recognized the true value of collaboration. inspired by this understanding, we created mod as a space for co-creation and connection for artists like us.

shaped by community & collaboration

space

is more than location – it’s the frame around the work. not competing with creativity. shaping it. allowing ideas to breathe, and room to imagine. we give artists space so they can fill in the gap.

community

is the people who fill the space and make it come alive. each creator is an important part of the whole. a community stronger than any single person or idea. we bring artists together so they can collaborate.

form

is to make the imagination physical. to give ideas structure and presence. the transformation of nothing into something. we push artists to bring their ideas to life.
